Itinerary Ascent to Misti Volcano 2 days / 1 night South Route
Day 1: Arequipa – Chiguata – Misti
This exciting adventure begins between 7:30 and 8:00 a.m., with the pick up from your hotel in Arequipa (White City), we will board our private 4×4 vehicle and drive along the tourist route of Chiguata, 1 hour and a half of travel in the vehicle, until we reach the point where our hike will begin, located at 3300 meters above sea level.
We will begin the trekking ascending slowly for approximately 5 to 6 hours, this route has a spectacular landscape, with terraces and traditional houses made of stone. Finally we will arrive at the base camp, where we will have lunch and dinner at the same time, around 4:00pm, while our guide tells us about his experiences, and tells us stories of the volcano, we will have to go to bed early to prepare our body for the next day.
Day 2: View of the crater – Misti – Arequipa
We will wake up in the early morning at 2:00am, have a comforting breakfast and start our hike to the summit for 5 or 6 hours until we reach 5825masl, where the crater of the volcano is located, we will observe its large fumaroles up close, while we appreciate the impressive landscape from the top, the surrounding valleys and the city of Arequipa. We will take lots of pictures and it will be time to start our return trip.
We will descend to the base camp for an hour and a half, pack up and continue descending to the point where our transportation will be waiting for us to take us to the city of Arequipa arriving around 2:00 in the afternoon.

Camino a Arequipa su presencia te sige alla por donde vayas. Decenas de kilometros hasta la ciudad donde su impresionante silueta la preside y le dibuja un marco de velleza imcomparable..
Impresionante el paisaje es bellísimo.
Dormimos en el campo base para poder ascender a su cumbre al día siguiente. Ver dunas o paisajes similares a la luna a 5000 metros no tiene nombre.
Nos faltó aclimatación, aunque no se haga cima creo que es una experiencia inolvidable
Desde que desciendes del avión la vista impresionante del Misti llena tus ojos. Precioso e imponente
