Excelente lugar para aventureros y amantes de la naturaleza. Para ir solo, pareja o en familia(niños mayores de 8 años). Barato y lindo!! Inclusive para un ida y vuelta.
La verdad es que una vez que se llega a la Catarata de Autisha, dices: valió la pena!! Lo que pasa es que el camino para llegar ahí, no solo puede ser un poco peligroso por las pendientes y escaladas que hay que hacer, y que si no se cuenta con el equipo necesario, es casi imposible de hacerlo, sino que hay una escaleras que se tienen que bajar que son peligrosas y feas.
Dicen que hay épocas del año en que se puede bañar en la catarata. Yo estuve ahí en octubre y como estaba tan cargada de agua no lo pudimos hacer. Si se animan a bañarse, asegúrense de llevar ropa de cambio ya que ahí abajo hace mucho frío.
También es una buena opción para hacer rapel, pero tiene que ser con alguna agencia de turismo autorizada.
NO me canso de visitar este estupendo lugar para hacer trekking , puentin, rappel entre otros deportes de aventura. el trekking se puede empezar desde el pueblo de Huinco que se encuentra a unas 3 horas de Lima por la carretera central e ingresando por el desvío de ingreso a Santa Eulalia.
Es un lugar lindo para ir caminar. El Cañón permite hacer bajada en Rapel si te interesa esta actividad. Dentro hay una caísa de agua interesante, que sale desde una piedra. Para ir a conocer.
Camino a San Pedro de Casta (Marcahuasi), una parada casi obligatoria es el puente de Autisha, sobre el cañón del mismo nombre. Este puente une los flancos norte y sur del río Santa Eulalia, teniendo grandes precipicios a ambos lados.
Vale la pena detenerse y tomarse unas fotos. Muchos fines de semana hay gente haciendo puenting y rapel.
Es posible hacer una caminata hasta el fondo del valle, y descubrir una mina abandonada y como brota agua de una de las paredes rocosas. Para esta caminata hay que contar con cierto equipo, como linternas y una cuerda larga.
