Mancora
A city located in northern Peru along the coast. It is known for its good waves for surfing and its paradisiacal beaches. Mancora is located along the Pan-American Highway. In fact, the Panamerican Highway is the main road to this beach. This beach town mostly attracts a younger crowd for its fun atmosphere and beautiful beaches. The temperature on these fabulous beaches is never below 25 degrees Celsius in the winter and spring, and can sometimes reach above 38 degrees Celsius in the summer.
Some Peruvian airlines also offer flights from Lima to the city of Talara – from here you need to take a Taxi or colectivo for about 1 hour to get to Mancora. Buses from Talara to Mancora and back leave several times a day.
Cabs and motorcycle cabs are available for transportation in and around these beaches. Mototaxis are perfect for traveling through the heart of these beautiful beaches and cabs are ideal for traveling longer distances, for example to another beach located along the highway.
