Founded in 1926 by Rafael Larco Hoyle, the museum is named after his father, Rafael Larco Herrera. The museum’s goal is to promote and preserve Peru’s national history. It is located in an elegant 18th-century mansion surrounded by beautiful gardens.

Este museo tiene una enorme rica y variada colección de objetos de culturas pre incas incas y también parte republicana definitivamente una visita muy agradable.
ME ENCANTO!!! La exposicion de las piezas, la limpieza, el cuidado del local el restaurante!!! muy ricos platos y a precio acorde a lo que ofrecen, sin duda volvere y traere siempre a amigos y/o personas que no son del Peru a visitar este bello museo pues sin duda es un LUGAR REFERENTE de Lima.
Excelente recepción Rapido ordenado, con tour guiado muy bien explicado por la Srta a cargo, se aprende más que recorrer sin guía, altamente recomendable.
Si te gusta la historia es un sitio imperdible. Realmente fascinante, volvería mil veces más. Además las personas que atienden son muy amables.
Es un museo particular con un una cantidad impresionante de piezas arqueológicas de la región. El lugar está bien cuidado y organizado y como todos los lugares de Perú, con las medidas sanitarias adecuadas.
