Intinerary

  • Very early in the morning (04:30 a.m.) we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco to make the trip to the village of Chirihuani in the Cusipata District (Quispicanchis) where we will make a stop to enjoy a delicious semi-buffet breakfast,
  • After a brief talk, we will board the minibus to continue the journey for 45 minutes to Phullapatawasi, the starting point of our hike at the foot of the Ausangate snow-capped mountain, to the highest point of the Cerro Colorado,
  • During this trip we will have the opportunity to see the different varieties of South American camelids;
  • Arriving at Cerro Colorado, we will have time to take pictures and enjoy the scenery of this enigmatic place.
  • Afterwards, we will continue with our hike downhill and flat parts to the starting point of the hike (Phullapatawasi),
  • Then we will board the minibus that will take us to Cusipata where we will have a delicious semi-buffet lunch,
  • Finally we will return to Cusco. At around 17:00 hours, this is the end of the hike to the 7-color mountain.
  • OPTIONAL: You have the option of renting a horse if you do not want to walk or feel tired, round trip 80 soles.

Confieso que fue bastante difícil escalar la montaña de los 7 colores, pero la llegada a la cima, la vista y la sensación fue maravillosa. Tuvimos mucha suerte de tener a Rosendo como nuestro guía, fue extremadamente cuidadoso y atento con nosotros, haciéndose presente durante todo el viaje. Y además, fue muy divertido.

Es un trekking de dificultad alta. Éramos un grupo de unos 15 y Rosendo, nuestro guia, nos dejaba ir cada uno a nuestro ritmo. Rosendo fue muy atento y detallista. Estuvo pendiente de todos y nos ayudaba en todo lo que necesitaramos. Están incluidos desayuno y comida de buffet ambos. La experiencia es impresionante. Muy recomendable.
