On our way to the city of Caral in Supe, we will make a brief stop for breakfast (optional). In a total trip of 113 kilometers north of Lima (about 5 hours), we will arrive at the Supe Valley, in the province of Barranca, where the famous Sacred City of Caral is located. Officially discovered in 1948, Caral has an area of more than 60 hectares with important urban settlements such as pyramidal structures, plazas, amphitheater, as well as residential complexes. The Caral civilization belongs to the Late Archaic period, 5000 years old, and developed between 3000 and 1800 BC. Our professional guide will show us this fantastic city in a 2-hour tour, with the opportunity to admire the progress of this Andean civilization, such as the construction of irrigation canals with water reservoirs, as well as cultural traditions and religious rituals. The Supe River passes in front of the great pyramid creating a beautiful landscape. You will be amazed by this archaeological wonder, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2009.
