Intinerary
- We will pick you up (Hotel, bus station or coordinated point).
- We will make a brief stop to buy water, fruits or snacks for the road.
- After almost 2 hours of travel where we will see unique landscapes, we will arrive to this beautiful surrounded area from where we will be able to see this Canyon and the eye water of the Ica River.
- Inside the Cañón de los Perdidos we will see impressive formations, as well as the ancient Ica River.
- If you love adventure you can jump in and cool off (extreme caution is recommended).
- During our hike we will find fossil remains.
- At the end of the day, we return to Ica.

This place is still “untouched” by mass tourism, no food/other services nearby. Absolutely spectacular views from the top and the walk at the bottom of the canyon offers a nice hiking experience as well.
Challenging hike and long drive into the desert but worth the effort for the distinct views and over-all desert tour. We recommend getting the tour with “Adventure in Route”, the guide was incredibly insightful and knowledgeable.
Beautiful place for a hike, it is still a fairly new tourist attraction which is great. Lots of fossils to see, I definitely recommend going with a tour guide.
Visiting this place was a true adventure. Our guide told us that the place only really opened up for tourism 2018 and you can truly notice it. The 2 hour ride straight into the desert made it feel like you were exploring something new. The canyon is located far away from civilization and the emptiness is truly calming. There are many fossils that you see from birds and insects and our guide also told us that in the same area they have found a “megladon tooth” if it’s true i don’t know but still very cool! You should absolutely visit this place, a true adventure.
A really nice experience deep into the desert, we were alone.
