Intinerary: Full Day Lima
  • First of all, we will leave from our first meeting point towards the Ricardo Palma station of the Metropolitano, to take the public bus that will take us to the Historic Center of Lima.
  • It is important to bring coins to pay the fare from Miraflores to downtown Lima (the bus fare is s/ 3.50 soles per leg), here you are saving 15 dollars the normal cab fare, the trip takes about 20 minutes to the Colmena station, the closest stop that will take us to the heart of Lima.
  • Secondly, we will go to the Plaza San Martin exactly to the monument of the Liberator Don Jose de San Martin(second meeting point for those who are staying near the historic center)from the Plaza San Martin we will start our walking tour through the historic center of Lima.
  • We will then walk along the pedestrian street known as Jiron de la Union, getting to know the historical and religious aspects of the Viceroyalty of Lima, making stops at the church of La Merced, O’Higgins house, the headquarters of the Central Courret Photography and more.
  • Later in the Full Day Lima we will visit the Main Square of Lima and its imposing buildings such as the Government Palace, the Cathedral of Lima, the Archbishop’s Palace and the Municipal Palace, the guide will provide detailed information of each attraction that we will see in the Plaza de Armas, we will also know very important aspects of the Pre-Columbian Lima.
  • Then we will visit the Santo Domingo Church and thealtar of the Peruvian Saints.
  • Continuing our walk we will visit the old house of the oidor, today the choco museum where we will taste the different derivatives of cocoa.
  • We will also visit the Cordano Bar and the Casa de Literatura.
  • Then we will visit the San Francisco convent and the Muralla park where we will have a panoramic view of the human settlements (invasions) located on the San Cristobal hill.
  • Finally we will finish the tour with an explanation and tasting the blessed liquor of Peru “The Pisco Sour”.
