Tour Start Location: Expedition Tour to the Magical Rainbow Mountain in Cusco, Peru
Intinerary
- Very early in the morning (04:30 a.m.) we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco to make the trip to the village of Chirihuani in the Cusipata District (Quispicanchis) where we will make a stop to enjoy a delicious semi-buffet breakfast,
- After a brief talk, we will board the minibus to continue the journey for 45 minutes to Phullapatawasi, the starting point of our hike at the foot of the Ausangate snow-capped mountain, to the highest point of the Cerro Colorado,
- During this trip we will have the opportunity to see the different varieties of South American camelids;
- Arriving at Cerro Colorado, we will have time to take pictures and enjoy the scenery of this enigmatic place.
- Afterwards, we will continue with our hike downhill and flat parts to the starting point of the hike (Phullapatawasi),
- Then we will board the minibus that will take us to Cusipata where we will have a delicious semi-buffet lunch,
- Finally we will return to Cusco. At around 17:00 hours, this is the end of the hike to the 7-color mountain.
- OPTIONAL: You have the option of renting a horse if you do not want to walk or feel tired, round trip 80 soles.

Tuvimos que pasar por lluvia, granizo y nieve fue todo un reto pero llegmos fue exquisita la vista pero recomiendo que vayan en fechas adecuadas para apreciar mejor el paisaje.
Es un genial Lugar. hay que caminar unas 3 horas pero valen la pena. Hay que estar EN FORMA pues se camina por encima de los 5mil msnm.
Es una buena excursión y los paisajes son hermosos!! La vista vale la pena! PERO hay que ir preparado. En mi caso no me avisaron qué tan difícil era y no me fui preparada por lo que me costó muchísimo la subida y tuve que pedir un caballo para poder llegar, porque no habia llevado suficiente abrigo ni calzados adecuados.
Para ir se necesita la verdad mucha fuerza, también fisico pero la verdad si tienes voluntad y fuerza interior se puede.
Jamas encontraran una maravilla como esta. Excelente vista para llegar. Al llegar es magnifico. Hay que llevar ropa adecuada para frio. las fotos son perfectas. 6.400 metros!!!!
