Tour Start Location: Expedition Tour to the Magical Rainbow Mountain in Cusco, Peru
Intinerary
- Very early in the morning (04:30 a.m.) we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco to make the trip to the village of Chirihuani in the Cusipata District (Quispicanchis) where we will make a stop to enjoy a delicious semi-buffet breakfast,
- After a brief talk, we will board the minibus to continue the journey for 45 minutes to Phullapatawasi, the starting point of our hike at the foot of the Ausangate snow-capped mountain, to the highest point of the Cerro Colorado,
- During this trip we will have the opportunity to see the different varieties of South American camelids;
- Arriving at Cerro Colorado, we will have time to take pictures and enjoy the scenery of this enigmatic place.
- Afterwards, we will continue with our hike downhill and flat parts to the starting point of the hike (Phullapatawasi),
- Then we will board the minibus that will take us to Cusipata where we will have a delicious semi-buffet lunch,
- Finally we will return to Cusco. At around 17:00 hours, this is the end of the hike to the 7-color mountain.
- OPTIONAL: You have the option of renting a horse if you do not want to walk or feel tired, round trip 80 soles.

Hermoso lugar para visitar en familia, aunque con restricciones a considerar en cada caso por la altura de la montaña.
Sorprende el lugar desde sus inicios por los caminos sinuosos y ruta compleja (cerca de la ladera de los cerros), y su increíble belleza en el paisaje. Se encuentran algunos poblados en el camino con personajes típicos del paisaje andino y muy amistosos…. ademas de la fauna autóctona como llamas y alpacas, que le dan un toque casi magico al lugar…
Muy recomendabl, recuerden llevar abundante agua, bloqueador solar, gorro y lentes de sol, especialmente si viajan en temporada de los meses de Julio, ya que en la mañana hace frío, pero después de las 10 AM la radiación solar es fuerte.
El paisaje es increible. Pero no imaginamos que sean tantas horas de caminata. El sendero es desparejo. Es una experiencia muy linda y gratificante. Lo recomiendo siempre y cuando uno esté adaptado a la altura mínimo 6 dias previos en Cusco
