Sacred Valley of the Incas in Cusco Tour
Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour. This beautiful valley is composed of numerous rivers that descend through streams full of greenery and small valleys.
Our first stop on this trip will be in the town of Awanacancha where you will be able to observe the breeding of alpaca, from which its fur is obtained for the production of alpaca garments, which if you wish you will be able to acquire them.
Archaeological Center of Pisac: impressive construction built in the Inca Empire period. Here we will be able to observe the great work achieved by the Incas, through an endless number of agricultural terraces that adorn virtually all the mountains around it. In the center of the temple of Pisac, we will observe an intiwatana (sundial) and fine buildings inhabited by the Inca nobility 500 years ago, then we will visit the modern town of Pisac.
Here we will visit a picturesque handicraft market, and we will be able to see how even today the people of this place maintain the tradition of exchanging one product for another product, the famous barter, just as they did in the past. For those who like to buy souvenirs, this place is undoubtedly one of the best places to do so, as there is a great variety of alpaca wool items, silver and gold jewelry, among others.
Then we head to the city of Urubamba, traveling along the banks of the Vilcanota River, where we will have a buffet lunch in one of the most typical restaurants of this town.
Ollantaytambo Archaeological Center: here we will visit the most important sectors, and our guide will give us an explanation about this place. The hike to the top of Ollantaytambo is a bit steep so it is recommended to take it easy and go slowly. (Preferably bring a bottle of water).
Archaeological Center of Chinchero: Here we can visit the picturesque village of Chinchero, where the remains of the royal hacienda of Tupac Inca Yupanqui are located, where you can admire its well preserved Inca Wall in the main square and visit the beautiful colonial temple with interesting mural paintings in the portico, Like the town of Pisaq, Chinchero is also known for its typical local market, however, this one is a little smaller, but richer in tradition and offers a greater variety of textiles.
After having had this unforgettable experience in the Sacred Valley of the Incas we will be returning to the imperial city of Cusco, where we will be arriving around 7:00 pm.
