Puerto Supe

This port is located in the province of Barranca, approximately 17 minutes by car from the city of Barranca. Here the main attraction is the port and the beach. It is not for nothing that the poet Blanca Varela wrote the poetry book “Ese puerto existe” (That port exists), inspired by the beauty and tradition of this seaside resort. In the past, this beach was frequented by the Peruvian bohemians, characters such as the journalist and playwright Sebastián Salazar Bondy and the poet Emilio Adolfo Westphalen visited the port to spend the summer.

One of the most impressive beaches of the port is La Isla, also known as “El Faraón”, because its topography is very similar to two pyramids.
