ツアーレビュー
This place is about 3 hours drive from Lima and is a very large site, so allow a full day tour. The site is still under excavation, but has a very nice visitor center to help understand the scope of this ancient civilization.
This is the oldest city of America with pyramids quite similar with the Egyptian pyramids.
We speak quite a bit of Spanish, but the site guides speak Spanish quickly…so it was nice to have the company guide translate what the site guide was talking about. Read Ruth Shady before you go. We bought your rather expensive photo book in Caral (bilingual) on Amazon… that was a very good background for this huge and important site.
This AMAZING place was settled 5000 years ago!
If that doesn’t impress you consider that they developed techniques for permanent fires and earthquake-proof buildings, to name two.
I really enjoyed walking through the ruins and imagining life 5000 years ago. It was spectacular,
It is a gem waiting to be discovered.
This was a truly unforgettable day! The adventure there made it even more special.
